シンガポールへのゼミ旅行　英語コミュニケーション学科

恵泉のゼミは教員と学生の距離が近く、英語コミュニケーション学科のGermain Mesureur（ジェルマン・メズルール）先生のゼミでは、国内外へゼミ旅行を行い様々な体験を共に味わうことが恒例となっています。
Germain Mesureur（ジェルマン・メズルール）先生とゼミ生の皆さんに、シンガポールへのゼミ旅行について投稿して頂きました。

In February 2025, Germainゼミ visited Singapore. It was a first time going abroad for most of the zemi members who spent most of their high school time under COVID restrictions, so the experience was fresh and exciting. The weather in Singapore is hot and humid all year round, but it was a welcome change from the cold Tokyo February. Singapore is a very safe destination, with a huge variety of ethnic groups and cultural influences. While the main language is English, the locals often have a very strong accent which can make communication challenging, to the extent that Singapore English is referred to as Singlish!

We visited many interesting places, and were able to appreciate the great variety of ethnic neighbourhoods that are typical of Singapore. We visited the Sultan Mosque in the Arab Street District and got henna tattoos in Little India. We were also able to sample many local dishes in Singapore's famous hawker centres.

Finally, we had the opportunity to meet with a Keisen graduate who works as cabin crew for Singapore Airlines and now lives in Singapore. She was able to give advice to her juniors and answer their questions about the transition from student life to 社会人.

シンガポールは街は綺麗でご飯も美味しく、とても充実した3日間となりました。
初めての海外旅行で少し緊張しましたが、多文化が共存するシンガポールを体験できて貴重な経験になりました。
シンガポールの有名な観光地が魅力的なのはもちろん、人々も温かく、心に残る貴重な経験となりました。
観光スポットが多くあり、どこに行くか迷ってしまいましたが、充実した3日間を過ごすことができました！
シンガポールは多文化が共存しているのが印象的で、違う駅に行くだけで他の国に来たような気分になり、とても不思議な3日間でした。
